Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct
Effective October 1, 2005

On June 17, 2005, the Minnesota Supreme Court ordered that:
the amendments to the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct contained herein are prescribed and promulgated to be effective October 1, 2005.
the inclusion of comments is made for convenience and does not reflect court approval of the comments made therein.
On August 24, 2022, the Minnesota Supreme Court reiterated that comments are included with the rules for convenience and do not reflect court approval or adoption.
